Debra Wells ~ Treasurer

Debra and Greg have been serving at West Olive since 2007.  Debra’s husband, Greg, has served as a deacon since 2012.

Debra was born in Brooklyn, New York and lived there until her family moved to Arizona when she was five.  Greg was born in Florence, Alabama and moved to Arizona with his family when he was two years old.   Both have lived in Arizona since. Debra and Greg graduated from Glendale High School but did not meet until after graduation.  In 1982, they were married. They have two children, Gregory and Jacqueline, both faithful Christians.  Debra graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and is also a C.P.A.

 

 

 

 

Eric Carpenter ~ New Member Director

My name is Eric Carpenter. I was born in Amarillo, Texas. My father was in the Air Force, so I lived in Texas, Georgia, South Dakota, California, Okinawa (Japan), and Arizona. I have 4 sisters and 1 brother. I am married and have 3 daughters and 2 grandsons. I have worked for the Washington School District in the maintenance department for 30 years. I enjoy sports, traveling, and sightseeing. My wife Kathy and I enjoy talking to people and getting to know them. I’ve been a Christian for many years and have tried to serve the Lord faithfully. My family and I enjoy serving at West Olive and love the Lord and love to work with the brothers and sisters here. May God continue to bless our church family here at West Olive.

 

 

 

 

Roger Henley ~ Audio/Visual & Livestream Director

Roger is responsible for keeping the audio, visual, and livestream systems operational so that the congregation can hear and see the bible class and worship presentations.  Roger is always looking for people to assist in the Audio/Visual booth.

 

 

 

 

 

Marco Escandon ~ Van Drivers & Maintenance Director

Marco was baptized in 1997, in Bitburg, Germany and Peggy was baptized in 1987, Huntington Beach, CA.  Both are from Southern California and now call Arizona home.  They have three children, Derrick, Brittany, and Antonia.  They also have ten grandchildren, all being raised in Jesus Christ.

Marco keeps our church van in tip top shape so it is available for rides to the church building on Sunday mornings.  Marco also coordinates and trains the people who drive the van.   If you live near the church building, (Youngtown, Sun City south of Grand Ave, etc.) and need a ride Sunday mornings for bible class and morning worship service, contact the church office to arrange a ride.

 

 

 

Greg & Lynda Henley ~ Benevolence Pantry

Greg & Lynda ensure our benevolence pantry is stocked with food items and hygiene essentials for those who need a little assistance. Members contribute items to the pantry regularly so there is always food and hygiene items available.  If you need a food box, see Greg, Lynda, or one of the Elders.

 

 

 

 

 

Allen Steward ~ Communion for the Shut-ins Director

Beverly and Allen were born and lived in southern Indiana until moving to Arizona in October 2015.  They met while in high school in Madison, Indiana.  They graduated in 1964 and were married in October 1965. Beverly and Allen have two daughters, Lisa and Kristen.  They have two grandchildren, Cameron and Wren. Allen retired from Duke Energy after 33 years and Beverly retired from Vetren Corp after 38 years.  Beverly and Allen were baptized into Christ in 1969. They both have been actively involved in the work of the Kingdom for over 50 years.

Allen directs the Communion for the Shut-ins Ministry, coordinating the people who serve communion to our shut-ins every Sunday.  Two couples take communion to the shut-ins on a rotating schedule.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, please see Allen.

 

Bob Milstead ~ World Bible School Ministry Director

In addition to serving as one of the Elders at West Olive, Bob also coordinates the World Bible School Ministry.  World Bible School  shares the Good News of Jesus with the world’s lost by motivating and equipping everyday Christians to use interactive Bible studies effectively.  West Olive reaches those seeking to know God better in Nigeria and Ghana, as well as Ethiopia, Albania, Philippines, India, and Papua, New Guinea.
